SHALER TOWNSHIP POLICE ANNOUNCE
ROAD CLOSURE
Shaler Township announces the closure of the Glenshaw Crossing “spur” that connects Butler Plank Road and Wm Flynn HW (near the intersection with Spencer Lane). This complete closure will be for approximately five (5) days beginning at 9am on Monday, October 17th until approximately 5 pm on Friday, October 21st. The detour will be to use the Butler Plank crossing near Giant Eagle and Walgreen’s Pharmacy.
This project is a joint effort between Shaler Township and the Allegheny Valley Railroad to improve the crossing. They will be replacing a section of the rails and installing conduit for a future crossing signal upgrade. Shaler Township will also be repaving Butler Plank Rd from the Glenshaw Crossing to the Glenshaw Post Office.
