[ARCHIVED] 2022 Road Paving Information

Road Paving Image for website newsflash

If your street is listed on the 2022 Road Paving list, it is scheduled to be paved by A. Liberoni Inc. for the Township of Shaler 2022 Road Paving Program.  Work is scheduled between June 1 and August 31, but may occur sooner, depending on contractor availabilityAs part of the Paving Program, all storm sewers are inspected and repaired, as necessary.  Township forces complete this work in advance of the paving contractor.

Due to typical road right of way widths, trees, brush, sprinkler heads, invisible dog fences, fences, walls, and other permanent structures should not be within 3 feet of the paved roadway.  If possible, these items should be removed/trimmed from this area or will risk being damaged during the paving operations.  Shaler Township and A. Liberoni Inc. will not be responsible for repairs of damaged items within the road right of way.  It is the property owner’s responsibility to ensure that these items are removed from the area.  Mailboxes that are installed in accordance with U.S. Postal Regulations will be adjusted as necessary by the paving contractor.

After paving, landscaping and backfill operations will be completed on affected areas of your lawn by landscapers hired by Shaler Township.  They will be placing topsoil and seed in the areas to be repaired – it is your responsibility to water and maintain the area after the initial replacement.

If you have items such as sprinkler heads and invisible fences, please mark them with flags or paint ahead of the paving operations.  Notifications will be placed on telephone poles to alert residents of milling/paving operations.  During paving operations, please do not park on the street or any private parking lots without permission.  If a car is parked on the street and obstructing the paving program and the owner can not be located, it will be towed at the owner’s expense.

The complete road list can be found below or here on our Township website!
