After additional consideration, discussion, and feedback from residents, the Shaler Township Board of Commissioners has made the difficult but necessary decision to cancel Lite Up Night.
We were hopeful that with extra distancing measures in place, including spacing out staging areas and reserving skating times at the ice-skating rinks, this would be a safe and fun event.
However, the increasing numbers of COVID-positive cases this weekend and this week has caused us to reconsider our decision and put the safety of the community first.
Santa would still like to hear from everyone – write him a letter and drop it in our Letters to Santa mailbox here at the Township Municipal Building, or at Shaler North Hills Library so you can let Santa know what’s on your wish list, starting tomorrow November 18th (if you leave your email address in the letter, Santa may just write you back!).
