To All Shaler Township Residents – The 2020 Township property tax bills have been mailed as of March 30th. Although these bills are an important part of our funding, we understand that these are difficult times for all. The discount period for payment of taxes is May 31st. If you are paying by the discount date, we encourage you to remit your payment via US Mail and a receipt will be mailed back to you. If you must pay in person, our offices will be available with limited access and the after-hours payment window for tax collection will be open during business hours.
At the direction of the Shaler Township Board of Commissioners, the due date for the face amount will be extended from the current due date of July 31, 2020 to August 31, 2020 with no interest or penalty for those who need additional time to pay. We hope this small gesture provides some relief during this difficult and uncertain time. Please be assured that we are committed to providing essential services to our residents, and will continue to do so.
