Prescription Drug Take Back Box Now Available at the Shaler Township Police Department at 300 Wetzel Road - Police Department Lobby. Regular collection is 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Arrangements can be made for after-hours by calling 412-492-2222.
The following stipulations apply for the use of the box.
Medications, whether prescription or over-the-counter, from households and residences are accepted.
Medications may be disposed of in the original container or in a sealed plastic bag.
Liquids must remain in the original container.
No needles, syringes or lancets shall be placed in the drop box.
