Route 1003 Dorseyville Road Paving continues Saturday, Next Week in Allegheny County
Pittsburgh – PennDOT is announcing paving operations on Route 1003 (Dorseyville Road/Kittanning Street) in Etna Borough, and Shaler and O’Hara townships, Allegheny County will occur Saturday, August 5 and Monday-Wednesday, August 7-9 weather permitting.
Paving operations will occur from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Wednesday between Route 8 in Etna Borough and Kittanning Pike (Route 1003) in O’Hara Township. Saturday’s work will require a detour between Route 8 and Sharps Hill Road.

Westbound on Dorseyville Road
- Turn left onto Sharps Hill Road
- Turn left onto Seifried Lane
- Turn left onto Kirkwood Drive
- Bear right onto Kittanning Pike
- Kittanning Pike becomes North Canal Street
- Turn right onto Main Street
- Turn right onto Bridge Street
- Turn right onto Butler Street
- Turn right onto Kittanning Street to Route 8
- End detour
Eastbound (beginning at Route 8)
- Same detour in the opposite direction
Single-lane alternating traffic will occur Monday through Wednesday.
Crews from A. Folino Construction Company will conduct the work. The overall project will be completed in late September.
Motorists should use caution when traveling through the area. Work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.
