Gaming Revenues - Property Tax Relief

The Pennsylvania 2006 Taxpayer Relief Act created the Property Tax Relief Fund as a way to use the gambling revenues to reduce the school property taxes for homeowners.

To qualify for the tax relief you must file and be approved through Allegheny County for a Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion.

Those homeowners that already filed with Allegheny County and qualify for the relief will see a credit on their Shaler Area School District property tax bill.

Any questions regarding the Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion contact Allegheny County at 412-350-4600
