While natural disasters, emergencies or unexpected attacks cannot be controlled, we can all be prepared and take action now to protect ourselves and our families. Emergency Management in Pennsylvania is governed by Title 35 - The Emergency Services Code. Each politicial subdivision of the Commonwealth is directed and authorized to establish a local Emergency Management Agency. The Governor shall appoint a local Emergency Management Coordinator (EMC) at the recommendation of the Board of Commissioners. The Shaler Township Board of Commissioners have appointed Public Safety Director Jeffrey Gally as the Township's EMC.
