Bike Rodeo at Kiwanis Park
The Shaler Township Police Department in partnership with Etna Police Department and Shaler EMS held the 6th Annual Bike Rodeo on Saturday May 11, 2013. Over 120 local youths participated in this year's event by having their bikes registered with their respective police department, obtaining a free bicycle helmet that was individually fitted by members of the Shaler EMS and Children's Hospital Injury Prevention Division, and learning the rules of the road by riding on the obstacle course. This year we added Child Identification and Fingerprinting through the VFW Post 9199.
This event could not be possible without the support of the Township of Shaler Board of Commissioners and the Borough of Etna Council and their respective administration, along with Shaler Department of Public Works. We would like to especially thank our partners for supporting this year's rodeo;
